Guide: How to reach the conference venue
The first CEE–Loc Seminar was held in Wroclaw (Poland) in September 2023, followed by the second CEE-Loc Conference, which took place in Zagreb (Croatia) in September 2024. Building on the success of these two events, which brought together researchers of local government studies from across Europe, the tradition continued with the organisation of the 3rd CEE–Loc Conference, held on 25 and 26 September 2025 in Budapest (Hungary).
The conference was organised by the Corvinus University of Budapest, the ELTE Centre for Social Sciences, and the Hungarian Political Science Association.
The aim of the 2025 conference was to assemble a community of researchers from Central and Eastern Europe and to provide a platform for discussing a select number of research papers examining various dimensions of local government activities, policies, and politics in the region. As in previous years, the event featured research findings from a wide range of disciplines. Continuing the established tradition, the conference included contributions from the fields of economics, geography, public administration, political science, law, and sociology.
